About Us

Who We Are:

During the 128 years Simpson UMC has served the Whittier neighborhood and beyond 
we have made every effort to have an all inclusive open door policy. 
But even with the best of intentions, and although we have a diverse congregation,
one very important element was missing. 
And so in January of 2010 the members of Simpson UMC
decided the time had come to give our Mission Statement even more meaning,
hence the vote to become a Reconciling Congregation.
